The Town of Portola Valley has an exciting new program to announce! We have partnered with Catalog Choice to offer our residents and businesses a service to reduce unwanted mail and phone books.
Any resident or business in Portola Valley can create a free account at https://portolavalley.catalogchoice.org to reduce unwanted catalogs, phone books, credit card offers, coupons and other marketing material received at home and in the workplace. This is the perfect time of year to join! As the holiday catalogs come in, opt-out and stop the waste next year! It’s free and it works.
How does the Stop Junk Mail service work?
1) Sign up for a free account on our Stop Junk Mail service page
2) Wait for your confirmation email; click the link in the email to verify your account.
3) Now you can search by your zip code or a company name to choose which phone books, catalogs and other mail you do and don’t want. That’s it!
4) Don’t forget to let your friends know: post a link on Facebook or email this page!
Did you know? Americans spend 8 months per lifetime dealing with bulk mail, throwing away much of it unopened. More fun junk mail facts and information about Catalog Choice at http://portolavalley.net/index.aspx?page=506.
This program is sponsored by the Town of Portola Valley. If you have any questions, please contact Brandi de Garmeaux, Sustainability Coordinator, at 650.851.1700 ext. 222 or bdegarmeaux@portolavalley.net
